Borrow by Mail

Judges, court staff, and attorneys licensed to practice in Wisconsin may use our Borrow by Mail service to borrow library materials and have them shipped directly to you.

If you're not sure which titles you need, start by searching our catalog, then fill out this form. A librarian will verify that the item is available and place a hold for you if needed. Materials are typically shipped within 24 hours after we receive your request, Monday through Thursday. Before placing a request, please read the borrowing guidelines and fees.

Provide your address. Work address is preferred but home address is acceptable. If you are a government employee, include the name of the agency or department for which you work

Provide a phone number where you can be reached

Your library card number is found under the barcode on your State Law Library card. If you cannot locate your card, this may be left blank

Sign up for a library card

Provide a date by when the item is needed. Items usually take 1-3 weeks to arrive
